As a surveillance investigator, it is important that I have easy access to all my devices (cellphone, camera, tablet, etc.) while I am on surveillance, so I am not distracted by having to look for something while monitoring a subject. Specifically, I need my cellphone in a position that will allow me to easily use the navigation and calling options, if needed. I have found that it can be difficult to find decent mounts for my electronic gadgets. For my cellphone, I purchased the “Panavise In Dash Mount” for Dodge vehicle on Amazon for $30.00. You can find similar models for almost any vehicle.
 
All you really need to do is use a flat head driver to pop out the radio bezel and install the mount into the two radio bolts. Then you reinstall the bezel.
 

 
However, I wanted my cell phone to be able to have some rotation options and to be slightly closer to the driver’s seat. Therefore, I installed a second cell phone mount onto the cell phone mount.  Please note, the device you see in the photograph below is my tablet and it is located below the cellphone mount at issue in this article.
